Firefly is a science fiction show set in 2517 that follows the renegade crew of a spaceship called Serenity as they travel the galaxy, taking on legal and illegal jobs to survive. The crew, including Captain Malcolm Reynolds, are former soldiers from the losing side of a civil war, and the series explores their lives as they live on the fringes of a society dominated by the Alliance government. It's a space-western that blends futuristic technology with a frontier culture and features witty dialogue and a diverse cast of characters.
