Rising Sun (1993) – Official Description
When a high-priced escort is found murdered in the boardroom of a powerful Japanese corporation’s brand-new Los Angeles headquarters during a lavish gala, two LAPD detectives are thrown into a high-stakes investigation that crosses cultural lines and corporate power.
Sean Connery stars as Captain John Connor, a seasoned former police captain and expert on Japanese affairs, teamed with Lieutenant Webster “Web” Smith (Wesley Snipes). Together they navigate a maze of corporate secrecy, digital deception, political pressure, and cultural clash while trying to uncover the truth behind the killing.
